A Journey Begins!

Welcome to all of our family & friends! We're going to use this site to share our adoption experience, including preparations before referral, travel to the country we adopt from, & how things progress from there. There will be pictures when we can get them!

On this site, we'll give general information about how we're doing & post some pictures.  It will also help keep Dion connected while he is away from home.  Also, we understand that some of our friends & families have misconceptions about the adoption process.  We hope to help educate everyone just a little, & calm some fears. We have put  hours of research & prayer into our decision - & continue doing so!  There are scary stories out there feeding the public's fears; some are true.  Yes, there are risks.  There are also government web sites explaining how to protect yourself, what to look for in an agency & exact guidelines for each country.
